Terms of Sale
Please read through before inquiring about a Goat. In buying an animal or placing a deposit, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Breeders duties:
- Breeder ensures a healthy goat upon pick up. Once the animal leaves the premises, by hired transport or direct pickup, the health of the animal falls on the buyer. Should the animal fall ill or injured in the breeders care, the breeder will give the option to pick up at a later date, without boarding fees, when the animal is healthy.
- Breeder ensures the animal has all appropriate vaccinations and maintenance including but not limited to; CDT, hoof trimmings, and health testing if applicable.
Payments and Pick up:
- A 50% nonrefundable down payment is required to hold any animal.
- The remaining 50% of payment is due upon “Leave Date” for kids or agreed upon date for adults. This will usually fall at 8-12 weeks old for kids and will be discussed between buyer and breeder. Should this payment not be made by the leave date, the buyer forfeits the deposit and animal. The breeder then has the right to resell the animal.
- The buyer is given a 2 week grace period for pick up after “leave date” for kids (not applicable for adults) as discussed between buyer and breeder. Should the animal not be picked up by the end of 14 days after the leave date, a board fee of $5 will be charged per animal, per day. The fees will need to be paid in full before the animal leaves the premises.
- Should buyer cancel a sale after purchase, a relisting fee of 20% purchase price will be charged on top of the deposit price. The remaining balance will be refunded to the buyer.
- In the event, for whatever reason, the buyer goes 60 days after the leave date without contact or plans for pick up, the buyer forfeits the animal and all monies. The animal will then be relisted.
- It is buyers responsibility to be aware of their state laws. Buyer is responsible for all transportation set up and fees. This includes but is not limited to health certificates, any testing other than CAE/CL/Johnes, vaccinations, etc.
Performance Incentives:
-It is the buyers responsibility to report any earnings in order to receive incentives. Once the designation is verified through ADGA, the check will be mailed.
- Incentives are only eligible for goats bought directly from Like Wildflowers Homestead.
Disclaimers:
